1. Search the Attic
Inspect the attic views before committing to the constellation box. Several interactions here feed into the later ladder, drawer, window and letter sequence.
Do this first
- • Check all accessible attic views
- • Inspect the window / dark-room areas
- • Interact with the obvious drawer / ladder objects
2. Find the House, Moon and Water Clues

3. Open the Constellation Box
Set the three slots to the matching constellation images. This is a graphic answer — the 5–3–6 shorthand only helps if each slot shows the right picture.

4. Finish the Ladder, Drawer and Letter Sequence

Ladder not working?
Confirm the story box has already opened. The ladder belongs to the after-box chain, not instead of the constellation sequence.
Drawer won't progress?
The drawer sequence comes after the box and ladder interactions. Keep going through the remaining attic objects rather than resetting the constellation.
Can't finish the letter sequence?
Finish the drawer and dark-room / window interactions before expecting the letter to close the attic.
Why Won't the Attic Puzzle Work?

01What is the Attic constellation solution?
5-point → 3-point → 6-point for the normal Day 1 story.
02Why do some guides show 4–2–3?
4–2–3 is a separate Achievement Mode solution. It is not the normal Day 1 answer.
03What order do the Attic clues go in?
House → Moon → Water.
04Why won't 5–3–6 open the box?
Make sure each slot shows the correct constellation image rather than relying only on the number shorthand, and confirm you are using the normal story version of the puzzle.
05Is there a Hidden Note in the Attic?
Yes. Searching the Attic includes a Hidden Note for players completing the Notebook.
